Lectures & Entertainment

Storytelling is an intricate part of Mi'kmaq culture, and in this context you'll learn about early ways of life, hunting and fishing traditions, language, spirituality and ceremonies -- along with compelling details and archived photographs about European contact and its effect on our history.

Art & Culture Festival

This year marks the 5th Anniversary of the Wagmatcook Aboriginal Art and Culture Festival that is scheduled to take place here at the Wagmatcook Culture & Heritage Centre from Tuesday October 13 - Saturday October 17. We have a very exciting line up planned this year that we know you will enjoy. There is something for everyone, from the visual arts to the performing arts and as well a touch of traditional and non-traditional pieces that will be on display. The Mi kmaki Got Talent show will be back again for the 3rd year featuring the best talent in the area. Check back as we will be updating the site as more events are confirmed.
